The veterans’ public organization “Palms for the Hero” took part in the memorial event “Bell of Remembrance,” dedicated to honoring the memory of fallen (deceased) defenders of Ukraine. The event was organized by Veterans HUB ODESA, Hearts of Mothers of Odesa Region, and Family of Angels of Light, with the support of local authorities and representatives of military administration.
The tradition of monthly remembrance for fallen warriors was established earlier and has already become an important part of community life. These commemorations take place on the last day of each month—marking the day when those who died in that same month across different years of the war are remembered.
For us, participating in such events is more than a gesture of respect. It is an opportunity to pay tribute to the Heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine’s independence and freedom, to express support to their families, and to preserve the living memory of everyone who is no longer with us but remains forever in the heart of the nation.
Each toll of the Bell of Remembrance is a sign that the Heroes are not forgotten. It is a shared prayer, a memory, a tear. It is our duty to those who defended our present.
